Congressman Kai Kahele presented Tom Greenwell with a US House of Representatives Lifetime Achievement Recognition for his efforts in the Hawaii coffee industry during the recent Hawaii Coffee Association’s annual conference.

Greenwell, who is the great-grandson of Henry Nicholas Greenwell, was born in Kona and raised at Kukaiau Ranch in Waimea.   More than 40 years ago, he returned home to Kona where he took a mechanic job at W.H. Greenwell Ranch.  After his father’s death in 1992, Tom took the reins of Greenwell Farms.   He is a founding member and former President of the Hawaii Coffee Association.

.In a statement Greenwell said, “I am humbled by this recognition, our family farm’s legacy has grown into five generations reflecting back onto our tradition of hard work and quality in all we do.”
