Green Bay Packers and star running back Aaron Jones came to agreement to restructure his contract for the upcoming 2023 football season. This means that the Packers have plans on keeping Jones on the roster for at least 1 more season. Jones signed a massive 4-year $48 million deal back in 2021. This year Jones is set to make $11 million, plus $8.52 million in signing bonus.

Packers decided to restructure his deal to reduce his salary cap hit. Originally it would’ve been over a $20 million hit, making it the highest among all running backs in the 2023 NFL season. However, Green Bay and Jones haven’t made any changes to the contract for 2024, as Jones is set to make $12 million with a $16 million cap hit in the final year of his contract.
