The New England Patriots have signed defensive end Trey Flowers, reuniting back with their former fourth round draft pick in 2015. Flowers spent his first 4 years in the NFL with the Patriots winning 2 super bowls. He left the team after signing a huge 5 years deal with the Detroit Lions back in 2019. Last season he played with the Miami Dolphins but was limited to just 4 games due to injuries in his foot.

Trey Flowers is not guaranteed to make the roster but he will serve as a back up behind Deatrich Wise Jr and Keion White. Flowers will be turning 30 years old next week. He landed 21 sacks in the 4 years with New England. After missing his rookie season in 2015 due to injury, Flowers has 31.5 sacks, 265 tackles and 10 forced fumbles with 4 recoveries over his career.
