Due to a number of large-scale training exercises, there will be increased military personnel presence and training activity at Pohakuloa Training Area on lands bordering and adjacent to the Mauna Kea Hunting Unit A now through mid-November 2023.

During this time, military personnel will be conducting various types of training activities.

The public is requested to observe and stay within Mauna Kea Hunting Unit A’s boundary and to use caution and comply with applicable hunting and safety requirements to ensure the safety of hunters and military members who may be present in the area.

There are no hunting opportunities at PTA during October-November due to these training activities.
