Police Investigating Waikoloa House Fire

Hawai‘i Island police are investigating a recent residential fire in Waikoloa.

On March 15, officers responded to a report of a fire at an Akaula Street residence. Upon arrival, Hawai‘i Fire Department personnel were on scene extinguishing the fire. No neighboring residences/property were damaged.
 
Neighbors reported that the owner was not home at the time of the fire. Although, no one was injured in the fire, the residence is considered a total loss. HFD personnel are investigating the cause of the fire.
 
Police ask anyone with information on the fire to contact Officer Brad Resureccion of South Kohala Patrol at (808)887-3080 or via email at brad.resureccion@hawaiicounty.gov.
