U.S. Senator Mazie Hirono was reelected to a third term with a victory over Republican former state Rep. Bob McDermott. Hirono, who was first elected to the Senate in 2012, serves on the Senate armed services, judiciary and veterans affairs committees.

Democratic Rep. Ed Case won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Hawaii defeating Republican Patrick Largey. This is Case’s fourth term representing urban Honolulu’s 1st Congressional District as he won his first seat in 2018.

In addition, Democratic Rep. Jill Tokuda also won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Hawaii. Tokuda’s 2nd Congressional District covers rural Oahu and all of Hawaii’s other islands. Tokuda, who was first elected to the seat in 2022 and is a member of the agriculture and armed services committees, served 12 years in the state Senate, where she was chairperson of the Ways and Means Committee.
