Hawaiʻi County Lane Closures: Week of November 25

The Department of Transportation announced the following Hawaiʻi Island lane closures during the week of November 25, 2024. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.  In observance of Thanksgiving Weekend there will be no daytime lane closures Thursday, November 28, through Sunday, December 1.

MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) 

 

 

CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 89 to 92, in the vicinity of Papalani Place, on Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

 

HONAUNAU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 97.2 to 104.7, in the vicinity of Haleili Road and the Filipino Clubhouse Road, on Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for safety upgrades to the roadway.

 

KEAUHOU

Single lane closure on Kuakini Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mile post 114 to 116, in the vicinity of West Honalo Road and Walua Road, on Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

 

 HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) 

 

NINOLE TO LAUPAHOEHOE

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mile post 20 to 25, on, Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting and tree trimming.

 

 

 KEAAU-PAHOA BYPASS ROAD (ROUTE 130) 

 

PAHOA

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Bypass Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile post 4 to 6 on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

 

HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 190) 

 

KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile post 20 to 22, on Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting and tree trimming.

 

 KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) 

 

HAWI

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mile post 17 to 19, in the vicinity of Mamo Street, on Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting and tree trimming.

 

PUAINAKO STREET (ROUTE 2000) 

 

HILO

Single lane closure on Puainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, on Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving the roadway and doing shoulder work as part of the Puainako Street improvements Project.
