Hawaiʻi Island Lane Closures: Week of February 10

The Department of Transportation announced the following Hawaiʻi Island lane closures during the week of February 10, 2025. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

 

VOLCANO ROAD/MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) 

 

KEAAU TO KURTISTOWN

Single lane closure on Volcano Road (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 7 to 9, in the vicinity of Old Volcano Road and North Road, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

 

PAHALA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 52 to 54, in the vicinity of Maile Street, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

 

HONAUNAU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 97.3 to 104.7, in the vicinity of Haleili Road and Filipino Clubhouse Road, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for safety improvements.

 

HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) 

 

HILO

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 4.4 to 4.5, in the vicinity of Kahoa Street, on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for maintenance on Honolii Bridge.

 

PAPAALOA

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 21 to 23, in the vicinity of Kaihuiki Road, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting and shoulder stabilization.

 

OOKALA

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 27 to 29, vicinity of Jardine Road to Moonlight Road, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

 

 QUEEN KAAHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) 

 

KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure on Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 93 to 99, in the vicinity of Honokohau Street and Kaiminani Drive, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for drainage cleaning and media replacement.

 

 KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD (ROUTE 130) 

 

KEAAU

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile post 2 to 4, vicinity of Opukahaia Road and Shower Drive, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

 

 MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) 

 

WAIMEA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) in the northbound direction between mile post 0 to 1, in the vicinity of Lindsey Road and Lalamilo Farm Road, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving and striping.

 

SOUTH KOHALA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile post 12.2 to 16.4, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving and striping.
