The County of Hawaiʻi Civil Defense Agency is hosting the two 2025 multi-hazard mitigation plan update meetings for 2025.

Community meetings will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, February 24 at the West Hawaiʻi Civic Center in Kailua-Kona and on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at Nā Leo TV in Hilo).

The Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan identifies strategies and actions to reduce the risk to residents from natural disasters. Public input will help revise the plan, last updated in 2020, to enhance public safety and build community resilience.
