Both Hawai’i Hilo Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams will be headed to Arizona next week for the Pacific West Conference Championships set for April 16-19 at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex.

The PacWest office and the rankings committee unveiled the qualifying tennis rankings earlier Monday morning with the men’s team coming in at No. 8 and the women’s team at No. 10, marking both Vulcans squads as eligible for further postseason competition. The men’s tournament features eight teams (out of 12) while the women’s tournament has 12 (out of 17).

The eight-member rankings committee is comprised of conference administrators with the top two determining criteria (from a list of seven) as head-to-head results and records against common Division-II (PacWest) opponents. The final seeding will be announced later this week on Saturday evening.
