35 year-old Jason T. Law was arrested and charged for the sexual assault of a minor that occurred at a Mountain View residence earlier this week.

Law is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Hilo District Court on today. He remains in custody in lieu of $900,000.00 bail.

As the Complaint alleges, Law is charged with Sexual Assault in the First Degree (with a minor who was less than fourteen years of age) which is a class A felony offense and carries a penalty of a twenty years in prison.

The charges are merely allegations, and the Defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Kirsten Selvig.
