The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Statement for all coastal areas of Hawaiʻi Island through Sunday.

During this time, higher than normal tides are forecast for the afternoon.

Beach-goers are advised to stay aware of their surroundings and exercise caution, while motorists should be aware that low-lying parking areas and roadways could flood.
