Europe won the 2025 Ryder Cup on the Black Course of Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York on Sunday, after holding off the surge from the U.S. in an attempt to comeback from behind.

Keegan Bradley’s team entered the Sunday singles facing a daunting seven-point deficit, but the Americans surged during the session, cutting into the gap on the final day of competition and winning six of the 11 singles matches, while tying three others.

With the tournament’s outcome hinged on the final hole, it came down to the match between Russell Henley of the U.S. and Europe’s Shane Lowry. After Henley found the bunker off the tee, he produced an incredible recovery shot that left him with a makeable birdie chance. Lowry responded by landing his approach even closer on the very same line. Henley missed his putt, and Lowry rolled his in to secure a half point, lifting Europe to 14 points—enough to retain the Ryder Cup in the event of a 14-14 draw.

Additional halved matches—Tyrrell Hatton against Collin Morikawa, and Sam Burns against Robert MacIntyre—ultimately pushed Europe to seal the 15-13 victory.
