23 year-old Kekoa Denne-Kimi of Hilo was arrested and charged following recent Mountain View domestic incidents.

Last week, Denne-Kimi made his initial Hilo District Court appearance where his bail was maintained at $48,000.00 and he was ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing today.

As the Complaint alleges, Denne-Kimi is charged with Felony Abuse of a Family or Household Member (cause bodily injury by impeding the normal breathing or circulation of the blood by applying pressure on the throat or the neck with any part of the body or a ligature), misdemeanor Abuse of a Family or Household Member, Unauthorized Possession of Confidential Personal Information, Theft of Credit Card, and Theft in the Second Degree (obtained or exerted unauthorized control over the property of another, a gold chain, the value of which exceeded $750).

Felony Abuse of a Family or Household Member, Unauthorized Possession of Confidential Personal Information, Theft of Credit Card, and Theft in the Second Degree are all class C felony offenses and carry a penalty of either a five-year prison term or four or five (Felony Abuse) years probation and up to twelve months in jail.

The charges are merely allegations, and the Defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
