The Hawai‘i County  Police Department has identified the human remains found in an unfinished structure in Kona earlier this year

The deceased is 41 year-old Alan Joseph Dush of Ocean View.

After a long period of active investigation, police issued a media release last month asking for public assistance in identifying the remains.

Foul play is not suspected.
