The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Hawaii Island Interior, and the Districts of Hamakua, North and South Kohala, North Kona, and Ka`u through Thursday.

A Wind Advisory means sustained winds of up to 35 mph and gusts of up to 55 mph are expected.

Due to the Wind Advisory, those in advisory areas should take necessary precautions.

Motorists should be aware of debris, downed trees, and utility lines.
