South Kohala patrol officer Kiley Loo was recently named Officer of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2025 by the Hawai‘i Island Safety and Security Professionals Association (HISSPA).

Officer Loo’s contribution to safety included the issue of 312 traffic citations during the quarter, significantly contributing to roadway safety. He was also responsible for half of the DUI arrests on his watch  Officer Loo investigated 281 incidents, demonstrating strong case management skills and a sustained commitment to serving the community.

Beyond his patrol duties, Officer Loo serves as the Field Training Coordinator for the South Kohala District, where he plays a key role in preparing and mentoring new officers.
