40 year-old Joseph Davis of Volcano, who was arrested and charged for a shooting incident at the Mountain View Mini Mart parking lot, appeared in Hilo District Court where his bail was set at $1,505,000, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for December 2.

According to police, Davis allegedly shot 52-year-old Marshall Marrou three times with a .38 caliber revolver. His charges include; Murder in the Second Degree, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Separate Felony and Place to Keep Ammunition.

If convicted Davis faces up to twenty years in prison.

The case is being prosecuted by Kevin Hashizaki and Dwane Tegman.
