Utility Work Taking Place in Hilo This Week

Hawaiian Electric crews will replace two utility poles in downtown Hilo today and tomorrow.

During this time, the mauka lane of Kilauea Avenue, near the Aupuni Street intersection, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Street parking may be affected.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and drive with caution when approaching the work zone.

Flagmen will provide traffic control.
