Two Pueo Poi Factory Fire Victims Identified

Hawai‘i Island police have identified the two women who died in the Nov. 29, 2025, structure fire at the Pueo Poi factory in Hilo as 72-year-old Antoinette Amii and a 56-year-old Neilla Lee.

Autopsies were performed and final results are pending; however, police and Hawai‘i County Fire Department investigators do not suspect foul play at this time.

Police ask anyone with information about this case to call Detective Michael Matsumura with the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at (808) 961-2386 or via email at Michael.Matsumura@hawaiicounty.gov.
