Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park is working with the National Park Service Office of Health and Safety and the Hawai‘i Department of Health after a person confirmed to have measles visited the park on March 3.
According to the Department of Health, the individual was in the park between noon and 6 p.m. and traveled through the Welcome Center at Kilauea Military Camp and other outdoor locations.
Individuals who were inside the welcome center during that time may have a higher risk of potential exposure.
Anyone who visited the park between noon and 6 p.m. on March 3 and has questions or concerns about possible exposure should contact the Hawai‘i Department of Health.
