Captain Levon Stevens of the Hawaiʻi County Police Department recently graduated as a member of the 297th session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy.

Captain Stevens was among 253 law enforcement professionals representing 48 states, the District of Columbia, and 24 countries who completed the program.

A 22-year veteran of the department, Stevens currently serves as the captain of administration in the Administrative Services Division.

Internationally recognized for its academic excellence, the FBI National Academy is a 10-week program of advanced professional study and physical training for U.S. and international law enforcement leaders. Participants are nominated by their agencies based on demonstrated leadership. Nationally, fewer than one percent of officers are selected to attend. The program is conducted at the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, the same facility where new FBI agents and intelligence analysts are trained.
