The Department of Public Works will be conducting pavement overlay work on Waianuenue Avenue in front of the Hilo Benioff Medical Center today and tomorrow from 8am to Noon. 

Work will occur near the ambulance entrance to the Emergency Room and extend to the area just below the hospital’s upper parking lot.

A one-lane traffic closure will be in effect during work hours. Traffic control measures, including message boards, are already in place to notify motorists in advance.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, use caution when traveling through the area, and allow extra travel time.
