What a shock. We at KWXX-FM are devastated to learn of the sudden passing of Ernie Cruz, Jr. 

According to reports, lifeguards pulled Cruz from waters off Sandy’s Beach this afternoon and it’s unclear how Cruz got into trouble in the water.

Our thoughts,  condolences and aloha go to the Cruz ohana from all of us who’ve been touched by his music.
