Food Basket to offer food tomorrow, Wednesday, at Afook Chinen

Hawaii Island Food Basket is continuing its food distributions throughout the island, including tomorrow, Wednesday, July 1 at Afook Chinen Auditorium, starting at 10 a.m.  Food Basket Executive Director Kristin Frost Albrecht says they will continue the distributions as long as the need on the island exists.  She asks that everybody coming for food have their trunk or back seat cleared off so the volunteers, including National Guard personnel, may place the food in your vehicle.

Here’s the schedule for July:

Hilo | Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium | Wednesday, July 1 | 10am

Waimea | Waimea District Park | Friday, July 3 | 10am

Keaau | Keaau High School | Tuesday, July 7 | 10am

Naalehu | Naalehu Shopping Center | Wednesday, July 8 | 10am

Waikoloa | Waikoloa Elementary School | Friday, July 10 | 10am

Kohala | Kamehameha Park | Wednesday, July 15 | 10am

Hookena | Hookena Elementary School | Friday, July 17 | 10am

Pahoa | Pahoa Community Center | Friday, July 17 | 10am

Volcano | Cooper Center | Wednesday, July 22 | 10am

Kona | Kekuaokalani Gymnasium | Thursday, July 23 | 10am

Honokaa | Honokaa Sports Complex and Skate Park | Friday, July 24 | 10am
