Thursday,  La’i’ōpua 2020 invites community members to drive through and pick up the complete ingredients–plus instructions–for a Ritz Cracker Chicken Casserole.  Pickup time is 5 p.m. at the La’i’ōpua 2020 Community Center at 74-5210 Keanalehu Drive, just above Kealakehe High School.   With all the ingredients, families can make their meal together.  It will serve 6 to 8 people.

Volunteers will bring the meal bag to your car, and because of the COVID-19 outbreak, everybody is asked to stay in the car and to wear a mask.

La’i’ōpua 2020 is giving away produce boxes every Tuesday, and a meal in a bag every Thursday, as long as supplies last.

In an interview on July 9, La’i’ōpua 2020 President Kawehi Inaba expressed gratitude to the many generous sponsors supporting the effort–which now include KTA Superstores, Hawaii Community Foundation, Hawaii County, the Roberts Foundation, and several ‘Ohanas–the Wilsons, the Waxmans, the Durbans, the MacKenzies,  the McIntoshes, and the Roses.
