The Pacific West Conference coaches recognized the UH Hilo men’s tennis team as the 2022 preseason favorite based on their 2021 success and strong 2022 line-up.

The Vulcans will return all but one of their starters from 2021, and are currently ranked No. 4 in the nation in the ITA Coaches Poll, which also makes them the top-ranked team in the West Region.

Last year UHH won the PacWest Conference Championships and the NCAA Division II West Regional, and finished the year tied for third in the NCAA Championships.

UHH is set to open the 2022 season on Friday, Feb. 11 against Biola University in Waipahu, O’ahu.
