According to the Hawaii County Civil Defense test schedule, there are 3 locations today where you may get tested for COVID-19.  You don’t need to have symptoms.  Tests are drive-through, and everybody must wear a mask.  Bring insurance information if you have insurance, but no insurance is needed to get tested.  And bring a photo I.D.

The test locations:

  • Afook Chinen Auditorium in Hilo, 8 a.m. until noon
  • West Hawaii Civic Center, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
  • Kea’au HIgh School, 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Test results have been coming back in 2 to 3 days.

Testing, while Federal CARES funding or other funding is still available to do as much testing as the County has been doing, is important to help people know if they have COVID-19, even if they have no symptoms, so they can isolate and stay away from more vulnerable people.

Photo is providers from Premier Medical Group ready to test at a previous drive-through testing at West Hawaii Civic Center.
