This afternoon, La‘i‘Ōpua 2020 will give away one “make a meal at home” bag  per vehicle at the La‘i‘Ōpua 2020 Community Center, 74-5210 Keanalehu Drive, just above Kealakehe High School, starting at 5 p.m.

Today’s meal:  chicken long rice with lomi lomi salmon.  The ingredients for 6 to 8 servings plus instructions are in the bag.  In a previous interview, La‘i‘Ōpua 2020 President Kawehi Inaba said part of the goal of the “make a meal at home” bags is to help families have fun in the kitchen and learn to be sustainable.  She also expressed gratitude to the sponsors, private, county, and nonprofit, who have made the food giveaways possible.

Drive up, stay in your vehicle, and volunteers will bring the meal bag to you.
